Professional Background

Ms Anna Coetzee is an accounting professional and academic leader with extensive experience in the public sector, international work exposure, and professional accounting practice. She began her career at the South African Revenue Service (SARS) before relocating to London, United Kingdom, to gain further experience in the accounting field.

Upon returning to South Africa, she completed her SAIPA training articles at Mazars (now Newtons Auditors) in Bloemfontein in 2011 and was admitted as a Professional Accountant (SA) with the South African Institute of Professional Accountants (SAIPA) in 2012. In 2023, she was appointed Head of the Department of Accounting and Auditing at the Central University of Technology (CUT). Her leadership philosophy is rooted in servant leadership, she strives to lead with integrity, humility, and accountability, fostering a supportive environment where colleagues and students can grow, develop, and achieve their full potential.
