Prof. Motalenyane Alfred Modise is a Full Professor of Accounting Education at the Central University of Technology (CUT), Free State, with over 30 years of experience in teaching, educational leadership, research, and academic management. Holding a Doctor of Education (DEd/PhD), he has progressed through various roles including Teacher, Head of Department, Deputy Principal, Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, Department Manager, Assistant Dean, and Professor.

He has established himself as a leading scholar in Accounting Education, Teacher Education, Educational Leadership, and Rural Education. Prof. Modise has published extensively in accredited national and international journals, presented research across Africa, Europe, Asia, and North America, and supervised numerous Master's and Doctoral students. He also serves as an external examiner, journal reviewer, and guest editor. His work is underpinned by a strong commitment to academic excellence, community engagement, social justice, teacher development, and the transformation of education in South Africa and the broader African context.
