Professional Background

Prof. Desere Kokt is a Professor of Human Resource Management at the Central University of Technology, Free State (CUT). Holding a Doctorate in Human Resource Management, she brings twenty-four years of university-level teaching and postgraduate supervision experience. Her scholarly contributions include over 40 papers in peer-reviewed journals and more than 37 presentations at national and international conferences.

Her research excellence was recognised with the Vice-Chancellor’s Award for Research Excellence in 2009. As a Master Human Resources Practitioner accredited by the South African Board for People Practices (SABPP) and a longstanding NRF grant holder, she consistently bridges academic theory with practical industry application.
