Professional Background

Mr Koketso Botlholo is an academic and language education professional with a strong background in African languages, language practice, multilingualism, and higher education. He holds a Master of Language Practice from the Tshwane University of Technology and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in African Languages at the University of the Free State, alongside completing a Postgraduate Diploma in Higher Education (PGDipHE) at CUT.

Currently serving as an NGAP Lecturer in the Department of Language and Social Sciences Education, his academic and teaching interests include African languages, language education, multilingualism, literacy development, teacher education, and culturally responsive pedagogy. His scholarly work focuses particularly on effective language teaching and learning in multilingual and culturally diverse educational contexts, with an emphasis on the role of African languages in education and student success.
