Dr Mkhize-Simelane has been a dedicated Tourism and Event Management Department lecturer since 2019. Her academic journey began at the Tshwane University of Technology, where she earned a Diploma in 2011, a BTech in 2013, and a Master's degree in Tourism Management in 2017. She continued her professional development at the University of Pretoria, achieving a postgraduate certificate in higher education, and further advanced her expertise by completing a PhD at North-West University in 2023, with her research focusing on sustainability and entomophagy tourism.
