PORTFOLIO	S.V. Motloung holds a PhD degree in physics from UFS obtained in 2015. He is currently a Director of Postgraduate Studies. He has worked at various South African universities including UFS, SMU, NMU, WSU, and NWU. He is a C3 NRF-rated researcher with virtual and interactive teaching experience on both undergraduate and post-graduate levels. He has successfully graduated MSc and PhD student. His research interest is in synthesizing and characterizing structural nanomaterials, particularly luminescence materials for practical applications such as light-emitting devices. He has published articles in DHET-accredited peer-review journals and has presented at various national and international conferences. He is also a reviewer or referee in many international journals and at NRF. He is also serving as an external examiner or assessor of many universities for both postgraduate thesis and academic promotions. He is a registered physicist (with SAIP) and a member of the International Sol-gel Society.
