Prof. Pierre Hertzog
Prof. Pierre specialises in renewable energy and engineering education. He obtained his MTech in Electrical Engineering: Light Current in 1999 and his doctorate from the Central University of Technology, Free State, in 2004. Throughout his academic career, he has taught across a broad range of Electrical and Electronic Engineering subjects, including project-based modules, electronic communications, electronics, digital systems and digital signal processing. His academic work includes extensive research and curriculum development, with more than 60 research outputs published in national and international peer-reviewed conference proceedings and scientific journals. He has also received awards for his research presentations, including the prize for best-presented paper at the 2017 International Conference on Engineering Technologies and Applied Sciences in Bahrain. Prof. Pierre has supervised successful doctoral and master's students and has served as an external examiner for master's students at other universities.
