Professional Background

Dr Gys Jacobs is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Mechanical and Mechatronic Engineering at the Central University of Technology, Free State.

He has 20 years of lecturing experience in the university of technology sector. His industry experience includes five years in the steel industry and seven years in the nuclear and energy sector.

His research interests include improving compressor efficiency and the application of additive manufacturing to energy systems and components.
