Professional Background

Academic experience includes lecturing and postgraduate supervision within Mechanical Engineering. Undergraduate teaching areas include Fluid Mechanics, Mechanics and Manufacturing.

Postgraduate supervision includes MEng students in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering. Research activities focus on the development and advancement of polyurethane heart valves as potential substitutes for native heart valves.

Research in this field includes the application of computational fluid dynamics and finite element analysis to the design and evaluation of artificial heart valves.
