The LEAD
programme provides for a combination of formal, semi-formal and informal interventions.
Each successful applicant will undergo an assessment that will assist in identifying
their leadership and developmental trajectory. Based on this assessment, leadership
interventions suited to the candidate will be developed and/or sponsored
A person intending to compete for
participation in the LEAD Programme must:
§
Be young, dynamic, innovative, i
ntelligent and highly competitive.
§
Have at least a post-matric certificate,
diploma, degree or equivalent.
§
Be a South African citizen,
younger than 35 years old, residing in the Free State or neighbouring provinces.
§
Have
a proven leadership track record in whatever area of human endeavour, be it
development, arts and culture, business, politics and others.

Stars
of Academe and Research (SOAR)
The
SOAR fellowship can be a full scholarship or to supplement and existing
scholarship.
The
qualifying post graduate groups:

2 years full-time

Master’s
and Doctorate
5 years full-time

Doctorate
3 years Full-time

CUT employees and external candidates.
