Upon successful completion of the first three
years of study, students are awarded the
National Diploma. They then qualify to enrol
for a fourth year of study to obtain the B.
Tech. qualification.
Recognition of Prior Learning
Dependent on the nature and composition of their
existing qualifications, candidates can apply for
further undergraduate and postgraduate studies in
Marketing. Such learners can either qualify for
exemption from a number of subjects or may register
for the next level of the course in full.
Prospective candidates should contact the identified
Instructional Programme Head for more information in
this regard.
Remarks
A list of prescribed textbooks for the different
programmes is issued on enrolment.
Students may only follow second-, third- or
fourth-year levels of study on condition that
the first- second- and third-year levels
respectively have been completed
successfully.
A diploma programme may not be completed in
less than 3 years, unless the student has
obtained exemption or recognition for at least
4 instructional offerings. Under such
circumstances, the diploma programme may not be
completed in less than two years.
Students must participate in all scheduled
evaluations. In case of absence due to an
acceptable reason, it is the student's
responsibility to arrange with the relevant lecturer
and/or examination division for a special evaluation
session, otherwise such a student will be
penalized.
The Evaluation Policy and Procedure
Manual
gives comprehensive information regarding the
evaluation process.
It may be expected of students to attend certain
lectures in the evening.
